HOLI INDIA FESTIVAL

                Holi india's pious festival
Holi is one of the most important  festivals of Hindus. It is celebrated every year in South Asian countries. especialy  in India and Nepal. Holi is the festival of colours and joy . The festival is celebrated for two to three days. People pour colored water on each other and enjoying by singing and dancing and  cook many types of sweets and other food. Holi is celebrated in the spring season to welcome spring. it mainly in march of every year . Hindus believe that spring is full of colours so they throw coloured water on each other. and enjoy by colouring people in their ways.
Holi is based on a legend about King Hiranyakaship. `Hiranyakashyap had a son, Prahlad. Prahlad was the greatest devotee of Lord Vishnu.Hiranyakaship want that every one of his region worship Hiranyakashyap.  Hiranyakashyap wanted to kill his son, so he called his sister, Holika. She had a magic robe. This robe had the power to save the wearer from burning in fire. Hiranyakashyap ordered his sister to sit on a burning fire along with Prahlad. He thought that his sister would not be harmed by the fire because of the magic robe and Prahlad would be burnt to death. But the result was the opposite to what the evil demon king planned.
As is believed, no one can harm the person who has God as his savior. Thus Prahlad came out of the burning fire safely and Holika was burnt to death. The other day is celebrated with joyful colours to mark the victory of virtue and goodness over evil.
The festival is celebrated for five days. The 5th day, Rang Panchami, marks the closing day of the Holi festival. It is a festival of colours.

How is Holi celebrated?

from the yesterday eveing people burn holika and next day early in the morning ,People are seen with different varieties of colours on Holi. They put colours on each other, sing, dance. They worship Lord Krishna and put colours on his idol.
Families gather together and party the whole day. They distribute sweets and enjoy to the fullest. The children wait for this event the entire year. This is because they get to play the entire day.
Thus, Holi is considered to be a festival of joy. People eagerly wait for this every year.
Colours, gujiyas and fun...I love Holi so much
Holi happens to be my favourite festival. I particularly enjoy the colour part of it. I keep stocks of every colour but red happens to be my favourite. The other ones specially, the purple is one I hate to use on Holi. It never goes and makes one look so bad.
All hearts are lighted with glory and people everywhere enjoy with their near and dear ones with different colours. People also throw water balloons on each other and on passer-by too. Many are also drenched in coloured water. Hours pass by throwing colours on each other and it seems as if it's just the start of the day.
Colours speak louder than words at times. Holi goes beyond the custom of smearing colours on each other. It crosses the realm of traditional customs to reach new dimensions of the renewal and spirit. It's a time to create new bonds, reach out to others and forget the past worries.
