Nelson Mandela

Nelson Mandela was the sun of one of the south Africa's leading dignitaries, chief Henry Mandela of the Thembu tribe, born of 18th July, 19918 , Rolihlahla was adopted by Jogninataba Dalindyebo, a high ranking Thembu regent after the death of his(Rolihlahla's ) father in 1927. Mandela was then trained his new guardian for a role within the tribal leadership.

The first in his family, Mandela completed his primary education at a local missionary school. he studied law at the university of Witwatersrand, where he Became involved in the movement against racial discrimination and forged key relationships with the black and white activists.

  In 1994, Mandela joined the African national congress and and worked with fellow party members, including Oliver Tambo, to establish its youth league , the uncle Nelson Mandela's  commitment to politics and the and grew stronger after the 1948 election victory of the Afrikaner dominated National party which segregation apartheid that prohibited non whites basic rights maintaining white minority rule .

The following years, the ANC adopted ANCYL plans to achieve full citizenship for all south Africans through boycotts, strikes, civel disobedience and other non violent methods, Mandela helped lead the ANCS 1952 campaign for the difiance of unjust laws, travelling across countries to organise protests against discriminatory policies, and promoted the manifesto known as the freedom charter, ratified by the congress of the people in 1955 also in 1952, Mandela and Tambo opend south Africas first law firm which offered free or low cost legal counsel to those affected by apartheid legislation.

On 5th Decmber 1956, Mandeal and 155 others were arrested and went on trial for treason, simialarly , Mandela's struggle continued for years protests imprisonment non violent resistance etc.

Finally in the 1990 Mandela led the ANC in its negotiation with governing national party and various other south African political organisation to end apartheid and allow a multiracial government. \the talks earned Mandela the noble peace prize in December 1993. in the elections of 1994. anc won the national election of south Africa and Mandela was sworn in as the president of the country .

As president Mandela establish the truth and reconciliation commission to investigate human rights and political violation committed by both supporters and opponents of apartheid between 19960 and 1994 . he also instituted many social and economical reforms to improve the condition of blacks in south Africa.

after retiring from politics in 1998, Mandela remained a devoted champion for peace and social justice in his own country and around the world, in 2002, Mandela campaigned for aids awareness and treatment programmed . the disease later claimed the life of his son .

Diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2001, Mandela grew very weal in later years, in 2009, 18 July was declared as nelson mandala international day . he died on 9 December, 2013 from a recurring lung infection. nelson mandala was an international hero, with ideologies that sharply resemble those of Indias mahatma Gandhi.

   A LIVING LEGEND

one of the greatest and most influential actors of Indian cinema is Amitabh Bachan , who gain fame and fanfare all across teh globe. He was born on 11 October, 1943 in Allhabad, Uttar pradesh Bachan father was a renowned Hindi poet named Dr. Harivansh Rai , his mother , Teji Bachan was a Sikh socialite Amitabh's charismatic personality is an inspiration to a lot of people , so much so that people  love him to the magnitude of worshiping him . Amitabh's mother had a ken interest in theater and she was the one who insisted him to take up acting as his career. so , in 1969 , Bachan made his first acting role in " Saat Hindustani".

he gained popularity in the early 1970s as the angery young man' of Hindi cinema after playing the lead role of zanjeer. the movies like "Deewar and Sholay" that followed , launched him to stardom as an action movie hero. from the 1970s through the early 80s , bachan appeared in more than 100 films and seized opportunities to worm with India's most acclaimed directors.

his movies like "Laawaris , Coolie, Naseeb, Silsila sharabi and Jaadugar can never be forgotten. they brought him the current stardom and fan following . in addition to acting, Bachchan's roles often required him to sing. for his outstanding performance , he won many filmfare  awards . in 1982, Bachchan had a serious accident while filming . he survived the accident , but it prompted him to change his career path.

so, in 1984, he took a break from acting and entered politics in support of long-time family friend, Rajiv Gandhi, Burt only after three years, he resigned from politics to open his own entertainment production company, Amiabh Bachchan corporation limited . it proved to be a failure leading him to bankruptcy and indebtedness.

Amiabh started a second innings by returning to the silver screen his comeback proved a bumpy ride where he saw more flops than hits. after struggling the financial crisis and suffering failures amitabgh hosted a T.V. game show" Kaun Banega Carorpatiin 2000 it became the most watched T.V. show in the country, and he again won millions of hearts.

since, then nothing came in the way of his acting career. the ageing body, numerous failures nothing stopped him . instead, these made him a role model not just for Bollywood and the movie world but for any one who had the desire to dream and the will to make those dreams come true. Bachachan also made his Hollywood debut in 2013 with the movie "The Great Gatsby.

Apart from national film awards, film fare awards, Amitabh has been awarded several honors for his achievements in the Indian film industry. he was honored with the Padma shri in 1984 and the Padma bhushan in 2001 for his contributions towards arts, in the year 2000, he became the first living Asian to have been immortalized in wax at London's madame Tussaud wax museum. several books have also been written about Bachchan . for all the success Amitabh has always looked up to his parents and left no chance to pay tribute to them.

Amitabh is not only on of the finest acotor of the country but alos holds the reputation of being a responsible human being who has employed his stardom for the betterment of society at large various charity organisation, Amitabh has always found time to execute his social responsibility. despite his age and seniority, he is known for his humbleness and believes in doing his job to the best of his ability . for all the finery in the field and his brilliant personality , he is no less than a living legend.
